Starting here, you can visit the entire historic centre of Florence on foot: getting out from the main entrance of Our Palace, You are projected immediatly into the magical elegance and refinement of Via Roma, and if You turn to the right, after 20 meters from Our B&B You will see the Basilica of the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, Il Duomo, symbol and soul of Florence, whose grand dome was realized by Brunelleschi with frescos by Vasari and Zuccari. There is also the famous square bell tower designed by Giotto and covered with white, green and red marble with in front the great Battistero. Arrived in Piazza Duomo, You have automatically came to Bargello, an important National Museum displaying some of the most famous masterpieces from the Italian Renaissance. Continuing in the direction of the Arno, running along the fabolous Via Calzaioli, You will arrive into the splendid Piazza della Signoria and its Palazzo Vecchio, ancient center of the Local Florentine government. Keeping going in diretion of river Arno, You will enter inside the court of Uffizi Gallery and, a little further ahead, the picturesque Ponte Vecchio, one of the symbols of Florence with all its typical jewelrys shop.

How Reach Us

By Plane

From the airport of Florence:

- by taxi

- by bus to Florence Railway Train Station / Firenze SMN (Santa Maria Novella)

By Car

from motorway A1 (E45) exit Firenze-Impruneta (Certosa), follow directions to Florence City Center, cross Galluzzo and go straight on.
After about 1,5 Km, at traffic lights turn right in Via del Gelsomino, then take left at the second traffic lights on Viale del Poggio Imperiale, follow the tree lined avenue up to Porta Romana Square.
Cross the arch and drive always straight on for about 1 Km, turn left before the bridge and then take right at the traffic lights and cross the bridge (Ponte alla Carraia).
After the traffic lights go straight on for about 150 mt then turn right in Via della Spada.
After the traffic lights take the second street on the left (Via Vecchietti), then take the second on the right (Via dei Pecori) and before driving in Duomo Square turn right in Via Roma.
IL SALOTTO DI FIRENZE is in Via Roma 6, just beside Gucci shop.

For our guests who reach Florence by car is available a Garage partnered with Us called GARAGE INFERNO (www.garageinferno.it), with picking-up and return service included in the cost of 27,00 Euros every 24hours.
From 01/12/2011,all the vehicles that will arrive in front of BeB by car and will use a different Garage from the one partnered with us, have to pay 1,00 Euro for ZTL fee directly to B&B.

By Train

From the Train Station Santa Maria Novella:

- by taxi

- on foot take Via Panzani and Via de Cerretani till Piazza del Duomo (the Florence Cathedral), then take on the right Via Roma (less than ten minutes on foot). We are in the building next to the GUCCI shop at the corner of Via Roma next to the Baptistry at first floor. (Compose 10+"key" logo button to buzz Reception)
